well we have had our new stairs in for a while and they still impress me every time i look/use them. i truly think they look like a piece of art. before the new stairs there were not interior stairs at all. we had to go outside to get to each floor. with 3 stories and cold winters it was an experience to say the least.Monday, July 7, 2008
my kind of art

Follow the yellow brick road
The story here in manhattan is still the tornado. i went back up to the subdivision that i volunteered in last weekend to take some photos. the redcross and manhattan fire departments are still in full force making sure people are hydrated, fed and they are handing out yard tools. I've included some more photos. the subdivision looks so much better with some of the branches hauled off. my friend Sarah sent me this website that has some great pictures. the girl who took them is a friend of hers. http://labrisaphoto.blogspot.com/2008/06/tornadoes-in-

there's no place like home
i'm guessing the thing that most people want to know about is the tornado that we just experienced. everyone here in manhattan is okay.

our house was not touched and we were safe in our basement.
the landscape job that i had started a week and a half previous switched from a shade yard to a very sunny yard. the house lost most of it's trees, power, needs a new roof and much more.
I'm including pictures that speak volumes.
